This is Mivan’s second contract for Ballymore following the successful fit-out of the Pan Peninsula Marketing Suite at Mill Harbour, Canary Wharf in 2005. The Pan Peninsula Tower, when complete in 2008 will be the highest residential tower in Europe. Mivan is due to start on-site at the hotel this month and will be responsible for up to 25 trade contractors, managing over 100 staff over the duration of the contract. The scope of works include the fit-out of all bedrooms on floors 2 to 7 and fit-out to the front of house areas on the ground floor. Ballymore Properties is both developer and main contractor on the project. Completion of the 4-Star, 169-room Radisson Edwardian Hotel is planned for the Summer of 2007 and is part of the New Providence Wharf development at London’s docklands – a mixed-use scheme which already includes over 700 residential apartments. Hotel facilities will include a health spa, brasserie and river view restaurant. The building has been designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) with Aukett Fitzroy Robinson responsible for interior design. Commenting on the contract award, Mivan Chief Executive Ivan McCabrey said, “Mivan is delighted to be working with Ballymore Properties on a major hotel project in London. Mivan now has an impressive portfolio of commercial interiors projects in London and is currently pricing other contracts which we are hopeful of securing in the near future.” « Go Back
