Mivan Limited has today (14th July 2005) acquired wireless infrastructure construction specialists Medlock Communications and UA-Communications helping secure around 130 jobs in the process.

These acquisitions are in line with Mivan’s strategy to become a market leader in UK cellular telecommunications infrastructure services. Both Mivan and Medlock are already considered to be two of the top five telecoms infrastructure rollout service providers in the UK. Alan McCready at Mivan Telecom said, “At this time when we are seeing considerable consolidation in the telecoms market, this is an important acquisition for Mivan. Medlock and UA Comms have operated in this sector since the very beginning of the cellular industry, and bring some real proven competence and broad based service capacity to our business. We are confident that Mivan can integrate and build upon these resources providing a first-class end to end rollout service to all of our customers.“ Following this acquisition Mivan Telecom Limited will have an annual turnover of over £30million, employing over 250 staff in the UK. The company will operate from offices in Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Dunstable and Northern Ireland. The customer base includes Crown Castle, Orange, O2,T-Mobile, Vodafone, 3 and Airwave. « Go Back
