
The Corinium Museum in Cirencester has been shortlisted in the Permanent Exhibition category at the upcoming Museums & Heritage Awards for Excellence.
Part of the Museums & Heritage Show, the Awards take place on Wednesday 11 May at the Cafe Royal in London. The black-tie event will be hosted by journalist and broadcaster Sophie Raworth. The Corinium Museum was a major refurbishment project, increasing its public areas by 50%, doubling the number of objects on display, and enabling the creation of new galleries and visitor facilities. The Corinium Museum is renowned for the quality and quantity of its archaeological collections. It is an important community resource as well as being a major visitor attraction for the town of Cirencester and the Cotswold District as a whole.
