Mivan has recently been awarded newcontracts in Dubai and India totalling $1.2m.

In its third Dubai project in twelve months, Mivan will supply its formwork system to Al Shafar General Contracting Company (LLC) to build the Golden Sands Tower - a high-rise residential development. The contract is valued at $500,000 and when completed the 41-floor tower will be over 160m high. The project is scheduled for completion before the end of 2006. The $700,000 Indian project at Goregon, Mumbai includes 3 apartment blocks of 38-floors each for Larsen & Toubro Limited - India's largest engineering and construction conglomerate. This is the latest in a series of contracts Mivan successfully negotiated with Larsen & Toubro since entering the Indian market in 2002. Previous wins in India included several residential projects in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. Commenting on the announcement, Mivan CEO Ivan McCabrey said: “Mivan is delighted to start working with another new client in Dubai. As the location of the Golden Sands Tower is in the heart of Dubai’s main commercial district it showcases Mivan’s expertise in the centre of this booming region. “Larsen & Toubro has been an important customer for Mivan in India and this recent contract serves only to strengthen our relationship” Mivan also paid tribute to Invest Northern Ireland (INI) for its continued support in the Middle East and Asia. Mivan established its technical sales office in INI’s Dubai Technology and Development Centre in September 2003 and has since benefited from INI’s resources and support to help build new contacts and opportunities in the region. « Go Back
