Mivan secures c£3.5m contract to fit-out new, luxury ME London.

Mivan's scope includes the fit-out of the hotel public areas including the fine dining restaurant, reception and lobby areas, as well as the stylish 10th floor bar. The project, for client Melia Hotels International, is underway and Mivan will complete its element of works by the spring of 2012, opening in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.

The project team includes Project Managers, Gleeds, and architects, Foster + Partners. Mivan is working closely with the architects to realise the sparkling and original designs. High-quality joinery and luxury marble finishes contribute strongly to the general air of chic richness. The majority of the joinery for this project is being manufactured off-site in Mivan's facility in Northern Ireland.

Mivan is also currently nearing the completion of its contract at The Bulgari Hotel & Residences in Knightsbridge. Mivan's scope includes the fit-out of the hotel public areas including the restaurant, lobby and ballroom areas. In addition, Mivan will deliver the interiors for the luxury Spa which includes the swimming pool, sauna, treatment rooms, spa reception, beauty salon and fitness suite.

ME London will be Melia Hotel International's fifth "experience-based," personality hotel under the ME Hotels brand. Formerly the site of the City Bank building, ME London will be designed as a cutting-edge, contemporary hotel by renowned British architects Foster + Partners, making the hotel an icon of the London hotel industry for both business and leisure travellers. The 157-room hotel will capture incredible views of the city, featuring two destination restaurants and bars at ground level, as well as a convention center with 7,857 square feet of available space.

ME London will become the second hotel for the Sol Melia chain in the British capital, joining the Melia White House, located next to Regent's Park, which has enjoyed a decade of uninterrupted success.
