South Antrim Business Awards recognises Mivan apprentices

The South Antrim Business Awards are supported by Tesco and Bacardi Brown Forman recognising the achievements by businesses across the south Antrim area. The event took place at a gala ball in the prestigious Park Plaza Hotel on Friday 21st August. It provided an opportunity to showcase the best of business and allowed companies to network with each other and talk about examples of best practice.
The organiser of the south Antrim Business Awards, Barry O’Kane said, “This event is set to be a real celebration of the successful work being carried out every day by business’ in the south Antrim area”.
Local politicians including Sinn Fein’s Mitchel McLaughlin and UUP’s Danny Kinahan were in attendance to present just a few of the much anticipated thirteen gongs which were awarded on the night.
Mivan was nominated in three categories: Apprentice Award; Innovation Award and Training & Staff Development Award.
Mivan’s new intake of apprentices starts on Monday 7 September 2009.
